High School Volunteer Opportunity with Embracing Abilities
Looking for a meaningful way to earn volunteer hours and make a difference in your community? Embracing Abilities invites high school volunteers to join Parents Day Out, a monthly respite care event that provides families of children with developmental disabilities a much-needed break. While parents enjoy some time off, children participate in games, crafts, and activities in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
Volunteers ages 16 and older will help make the day special by:
Engaging with siblings of participants
Leading activities and games
Creating a positive and welcoming experience for everyone
