Welcome to the DREAM Studio!

The Embracing Abilities DREAM Studio is a weekday program for individuals ages 18-40 focused on community involvement and growing your loved one's independence.

*Current individuals receiving services through Embracing Abilities do not need to complete a new intake form. The DREAM Assessment is a secondary step used to determine whether the DREAM Studio programming is a good fit for your loved one. If you are a current individual receiving services and would like to complete the DREAM Assessment, please email intake@embracingabilities.com to get started.

Attendance & Funding

Families can choose the number of days that work best for their loved one, based on their individual needs and current program availability. DREAM Studio offers flexible attendance options from 1 to 5 days per week.

DREAM services may be funded through an Indiana Medicaid Waiver (FSW or CIH), ESA Funds, or Private Pay. Programming is provided through Day Hab Small Group services with a 1:3 or 1:4 ratio.

Weekly Schedule & Activities

Your loved one will attend the DREAM Studio from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, based on their selected schedule.

  • Volunteer opportunities: Every other Monday
  • Community outings: Typically held on Thursdays and Fridays

Each day, individuals have opportunities to build their skills and confidence through hands-on projects, activities, games, and community outings. Our programming supports a wide range of skills, including:

Program Requirements

Program Requirements:

Individuals must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the DREAM Studio:

  • Individual must be between the ages of 18 and 40.
  • Individual must have their own transportation to and from the Embracing Abilities Clinic (6734 E US HWY 36 Avon, IN 46123).
  • Individual must fulfill all safety and success criteria.

Safety & Success:

Please review the following safety and success requirements prior to registration. Every individual must meet all requirements to participate in the Embracing Abilities DREAM Studio.

  • Individual is appropriate for a 1:4 ratio.
  • Individual enjoys socializing and interacting with friends.
  • Individual does not elope or show physical aggression.
  • Individual is able to safely eat independently or with minimal assistance.
  • Individual is able to toilet independently or with minimal assistance.
  • If an individual uses a wheelchair, we are unable to accommodate non-transfer or assist from slide board as a mode of transfer at this time.

Yes, we are an approved program and can accept ESA. For details on the application process, please visit: https://www.in.gov/tos/inesa/. The application opens March 1.

We are unable to accommodate late arrivals or early pickups at this time due to staffing.

The staffing ratio is 1 staff member per 4 students.

Due to allergies and food preferences, students need to bring their own lunch and snacks daily. We have a microwave and refrigerator available for lunchtime use.

Embracing Abilities utilizes 2 15-passenger vans for community outings.
