Embracing Abilities is thrilled to welcome your loved one to a summer full of fun and excitement!
Our goal is to create a vibrant, inclusive environment where campers can enjoy creative experiences, build social skills, and explore their communities. Be sure to check out our monthly calendars, available on each location’s homepage (West, South, North), for a detailed schedule of daily field trips and activity fee information.

We’re excited to offer a summer full of fun, creativity, and adventure! Our camp strives to create an environment where individuals can enjoy creative experiences, enhance their social skills, and explore their communities.
Camp Teams: After acceptance to summer camp, we will place each camper on a team based on their age OR which setting they are best socially appropriate for. The team designation will remain the same for the duration of camp. We will inform you of your camper’s team assignment when date selection forms are sent.
Pink Team: Ages 5-10
Blue Team: Ages 11-13
Green Team: Ages 14-17
Orange Team: Ages 18+
Camp Funding:
Once a staffing ratio has been determined and we have confirmed your date selections, we will contact your case manager to request the needed hours to bill your waiver budget. We will request 6 hours (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM) of Day Habilitation for each of the camp dates we have confirmed based upon your date selection form. We will also ask for a maximum of 10 additional hours as a buffer for summer camp to cover additional days or late pick ups. These additional hours can be returned to the camper’s budget at the end of camp if not utilized.
Staffing Ratios for Campers:
Campers will be supported in one of the following ratios: 1:1, 1:3, or 1:4, depending on their needs.
If your child thrives in small group settings, the 1:3 or 1:4 ratio may be a great fit. However, ratios are subject to change daily based on staff availability.
If group numbers are too low to maintain a small group ratio, your camper may be billed at the 1:1 ratio for that day. We’ll notify you via BrightWheel if this occurs, giving you the option to proceed with the updated ratio or keep your camper home for the day.
We look forward to welcoming your child to a summer filled with joy, growth, and unforgettable memories!
**Access Passes are mandatory for our waiver participants attending camp. These passes grant free to $5 entrance into numerous planned summer activities.**
Please make sure to obtain your access pass prior to the start of our 2026 Summer Camp. Click here for more information.
Field Trip Transportation:
Transportation to field trips during camp will be provided by our camp counselors. Oftentimes, our counselors rotate who drives to each outing. Your camper may be in the car with other campers and counselors on their team each day.
If your camper uses a lightweight folding medical stroller, we are able to accommodate the transportation of the device, but we are NOT equipped to transport power chairs at this time.
**The use of parking garages will be utilized at all facilities upon need. **
