Attendance

Part-Time & Full-Time Options

Your loved one will have the ability to attend our DREAM Program as a part-time or full-time student.

You can select the number of days per week that best suit your needs, subject to availability. This includes attending all five days (Monday-Friday), only Mondays, two days (Tuesday and Thursday), and so on. 

*You are able to utilize your young adult’s waiver budget and hours for this program.

Weekly Schedule & Activities

Your loved one will attend the DREAM Program 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. 

Throughout this time, your loved one will participate in a routine schedule with the goal of enhancing their dreams.

Registration Requirements

Registration Requirements:

All students must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the DREAM Studio:

  • Students must be aged between 18 and 40.
  • Students must reside within driving distance of the Embracing Abilities Clinic – (6734 E US HWY 36 Avon, IN 46123). Embracing Abilities does not provide transportation.
  • Students must fulfill all safety and success criteria.
 
 
**Student must meet both our registration requirements and safety and success list to fill out an intake for this program.**

Student Safety & Success:

Please review the following safety and success requirements prior to registration. Every student must meet all requirements to participate in the Embracing Abilities DREAM Studio.

  • Student is appropriate for a 4:1 group setting ratio.
  • Student enjoys socializing and interacting with friends.
  • Student does not elope or show physical aggression.
  • Student is able to safely eat independently or with minimal assistance.
  • Student is able to toilet independently or with minimal assistance.
  • If a student uses a wheelchair, we are unable to accommodate non-transfer or assist from slide board as a mode of transfer at this time.

Yes, we are an approved program and can accept ESA. For details on the application process, please visit: https://www.in.gov/tos/inesa/. The application opens March 1.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate late arrivals or early pickups at this time due to staffing and participant requirements.

We plan to offer Music and Recreational therapy groups within our program. More details will be provided throughout the school year.

The staffing ratio is 1 staff member per 4 students.

Due to allergies and food preferences, students need to bring their own lunch and snacks daily. We have a microwave and refrigerator available for lunchtime use.

Embracing Abilities utilizes a 15-passenger van for community outings.

We are not an accredited high school program, so it will not count towards a certificate.

The current program enrollment age is 18-40.
